Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026. We collect only the information needed to provide real estate services to you, and we never sell your personal data.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Altora Homes (affiliated with BQ Realty, DRE #01929787, “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit altorahomes.com and its subpages.
By using this website, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of it, please do not submit personal information to us.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to respond to your inquiry and to provide real estate services:
- Information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, and WeChat ID, together with the details you enter in our inquiry forms and free-guide questionnaires (budget range, target cities, timeline, property address, and the like).
- Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how long you stay, and the referring link. We use this data to understand how the website is used overall, not to identify you personally.
- Third-party embedded content: certain pages embed YouTube videos (using youtube-nocookie.com privacy-enhanced mode). When you play a video, Google may collect data under its own policies.
We do not solicit your Social Security number, bank account, credit card number, or other sensitive financial information. When documents of that kind are required in an actual transaction, they are handled through the secure channels of the escrow holder, title company, or lender, and never through this website.
3. How We Use This Information
- To respond to your inquiry and to arrange showings, valuations, or one-on-one consultations;
- To deliver the materials you request, such as market reports, checklists, and free guide PDFs;
- With your consent, to send updates about the Bay Area real estate market — every email includes a way to unsubscribe;
- To improve the content and structure of the website and to analyze page performance;
- To meet the recordkeeping obligations imposed by California real estate law and by brokerage industry rules.
We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to those described above.
4. Sharing and Sale of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it with third parties only in the following circumstances: with our affiliated brokerage, BQ Realty, and the licensed agents involved in your transaction; with the vendors that provide technology services to us (form and client-data hosting, email delivery, website hosting and analytics), who may process the data only on our instructions; and where required by law, by court order, or by a regulatory authority.
If your transaction proceeds to execution, the relevant information may need to be provided to the escrow holder, the title company, the lender, or the attorney or accountant you designate — in every case with your knowledge and authorization.
5. Your Rights (California Residents)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, and the purposes for which it is collected, used, and shared;
- Request deletion of your personal information (other than records we are required by law to retain);
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — as stated above, we do not engage in either;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email altorahomes@gmail.com or call (408) 596-9560. We will verify your identity and then respond within the period required by law.
6. Retention and Security
We retain your information for the shortest period our business needs and legal obligations allow: general inquiry information is kept for 24 months after our communications end, and records relating to closed clients are kept for at least 3 years, as California real estate regulations require.
We use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No data transmitted over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please use your own judgment when sending sensitive information.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
This site uses the cookies necessary for basic functionality, and may use analytics tools to measure anonymous visit data. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; doing so will not affect your access to the main content of this site.
This site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because no uniform industry standard exists.
8. Minors
This website provides real estate services to adults. It is not directed to minors under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that we have collected such information in error, we will delete it immediately.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page, and the effective date shown at the top will be updated with it. We will give separate notice of material changes through a prominent place on the website or by email.
10. Contact Us
